Foraging & Natural Dyeing Practice Course

Forage, experiment and connect with plants and place

This 4-week journey provides a shared space to practice, play and explore local colour. Together, we’ll practice foraging local materials and extracting color. This course is about taking time to play, to notice and to deepen your natural dye practice alongside other dye enthusiasts.

Come as you are. Bring your curiosity. Learn from the plants around you — and from each other.

What you can expect:
o Build confidence using foraged materials
o Learn various methods for colour extraction
o Develop your personal approach to colour
o Deepen your practice in a supportive group
o Learn from each others’ findings

When: Tuesdays, 6:30–8:30 pm

Dye your own garment

Refresh one of your own garments with natural dyes

Join a small group to refresh a garment with natural dyes in a relaxed, hands-on session. Bring along a piece you’d like to breathe new life into, and we’ll guide you through the process of overdyeing using plant-based materials. 

Come as you are. Just bring your garment to dye.
Leave with a sense of pride and an item you’re excited to wear again and again!

When: Saturdays, 10:00am–5:30 pm
Where: Cockpit Deptford, London
Cost: £90
Experience needed: None, this is a guided group session and all materials are provided except the garment

Dye & Sip: Bandana Workshop

Create your own organic cotton bandana

In this relaxed 2-hour session, you’ll experiment with natural dyes to create a unique bandana to take home. 
Start with a base colour and add your own touch with tying techniques or overdyeing
Unwind and enjoy a Crémant or a non-alcoholic botanical spritz as you work. 
Take home your freshly dyed bandana or come back to collect it once it’s dry!

When: Evenings, 6:00pm - 8:00pm

Bespoke event package

A guided session tailored to your group – parties, teambuilding, wedding celebrations – bringing the craft of natural dyeing to you.

This is a mobile offering, we just need access to a sink and we’ll provide the rest!
